Social Development Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her help and commitment to strengthening South African Social Security Company (SASSA) companies during an engagement while using the company's senior administrators in a strategic planning session in Cape Town.

Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the many social grant beneficiaries, who excelled during the 2024 matric final exams.

Of the 724 156 full-time learners who registered for the National Senior Certification (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, representing eighty one% of your registered pupils from the instruction sector.

These learners reached a commendable pass rate of 86%.

"This indicates the investment national government is generating inside the lives of weak and vulnerable kids is yielding a positive affect in breaking intergenerational poverty," Tolashe said.
